Travelling with family and minors

Before your trip

Airlines offer services such as providing assistance when you are travelling with your children and babies, or accompanying your children when they travel alone. For further details, please check your airline’s travel conditions below:

Please note: It is the responsibility of each passenger to ensure that they are in possession of all documents (including for their children and babies) required by immigration and other authorities at each destination.

Unaccompanied minors

Consent for children travelling abroad has been reinstated since 2017. This applies to any minor who travels abroad without being accompanied by one of their parents or legal guardians. In this specific case, the minor must present the following three documents:

Their national ID card or valid passport (+ visa if necessary)

Photocopy of the identity document of the signing parent:

  • Case 1: The parents are French: Photocopy of their national ID card or passport (valid or expired less than 5 years ago).
  • Case 2: The parents are European: Photocopy of their national ID card or passport or valid residence permit.
  • Case 3: The parents are non-European: Photocopy of their national ID card or passport or valid residence permit or identity and travel document for refugees or stateless persons.

The form must be signed by one of the parents with parental authority. Click here (in French) to download the consent form for children travelling abroad [autorisation de sortie de territoire].

Please note: some airlines have policies that do not allow minor children to travel alone before a certain age. Always make sure you check their travel conditions.

At the airport

To change your baby's nappy with complete peace of mind, changing tables are available in the public halls and departure lounges of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, as well as in the arrival hall of Terminal 2.

All equipment that children sit in (pushchairs, cosies, baby carriers, etc.) must be checked in and labelled at the check-in desks by our agents, before it is screened in airport security devices.

Baby food and liquids (with no container capacity limit) are permitted under the following conditions:

  • It must be demonstrated that the quantity allowed is necessary for the duration of the round trip as well as the length of stay;
  • All products will be subject to additional checks by a security agent;
  • These checks may lead the security agent to open products to inspect their contents.
